Do you have Pelvic Pain?
Researchers from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Stanford University are conducting a study to see whether women with pelvic pain can learn to practice special yoga or physical conditioning exercises to improve their pain.
You may qualify for the study if you:
- You are female, 18 years of age or older
- You are often bothered by pelvic pain even when you are not menstruating
- Have an electronic device that can be used for online (Zoom) classes, such as a laptop, iPad, tablet, or computer with an attached camera
- Have a broadband internet connection
If you qualify for the study, you may:
- Complete diaries and questionnaires
- Agree to be randomly assigned to yoga or physical conditioning classes
- Participate in special interactive, online yoga or physical conditioning classes twice weekly for 8 weeks
Will participants be paid?
- Study participants will be compensated up to $200 during the study for their time
- Study classes are free to study participants
- Participants will receive a set of yoga or exercise props based on their assigned class
You will be modestly compensated for your time and receive yoga or physical conditioning props to use during free study classes and home practice.
