What is PROSper?
PROSper is a prospective cohort study of women with BRCA 1/2 mutations who have elected to either undergo risk reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO) or nonsurgical management.
Why is this study being done?
This goal of this study is to understand differences in health among women with a BRCA gene who decide to have surgery to remove their ovaries and fallopian tubes compared with women who decide not to have this surgery.
